I teach colors via TPR, I have tons of markers and throw them on the floor, we sit in a circle and I call a color and they have to pick one up. I am sure to have enough for every child. After playing this way for a while and being sure those who did not remember some, have brought them back, and everybody knows all them. Then I dictate the colors and after checking spelling, they color shapes or make their own drawings.

This may take a week and it is usually at the beginning of the unit on classroom objects and school supplies, so there is plenty of opportunity to reinforce the acquisition.</description>

Those children stand up and we talk about (and circle) the articles of clothing that are red.  Kids up to second grade love this. 		<description>Thank you for posting your lesson on colors. I have been studying TPRS for 3 years but I have been stuck due North as a plank walker. The more I read about the baby steps, the more I can visualize myself executing a lesson.</description>
