I can't quite put my finger on it, but I believe it's different. I think it may be because we are asked to RESPOND also, instead of just repeat and the repetition is required for confidence building. I don't know why Pimsleur doesn't offer a transcript as part of their package. Not to be used as a reader, but just for reference purposes. Or at least a list of expressions/phrases. I did take a Fluency Fast Class as part of NTPRS in Denver. I'm still plugging along with the Pimsleur, though switched to Egyptian Arabic instead of Eastern, mainly because Egyptian is closer to my heritage language (which I do not speak), Maltese.
