Skype Conference in Alaska!

I just completed a wonderful skype conference with Michele’s group in Alaska!

I was a bit nervous, never having done a presentation via skype before, but I’m very excited to say that it went pretty well!

I had a great time with the folks in Alaska and I hope they did too!

Thanks, Michele and her gang!

“Circling with Pictures” Presentation-NTPRS ‘09-San Antonio

Thanks for attending my presentation on my adaption of Ben Slavic’s “Circling with Props.” I hope that it inspired you to go “whole hog” in the target language with your classes starting on day one of level 1.

Here’s the link to the PowerPoint presentation I used during the presentation: http://teachforjune.com/docs/circling-with-pictures-jul09-ntprs.pdf

PBG Presentation in Minneapolis

I just wanted to take the time to thank Gaelle and Nancy from the great city of Minneapolis for having me come out and talk to the World-language department of the Minneapolis Public School District.

I had a great time and we had a great discussion. (Plus the Lebanese food was GREAT!!)

I’m sorry I didn’t get a chance  to write this earlier as I’ve been sick since my return. :(

Anyways, I promised to upload my GPA to Percentage conversion chart so here it is:

Grading Scale–GPA to Percentage Conversion Chart

Thanks!

NTPRS Presentation

Thanks for coming to the presentation!

I hope you learned a lot and I know you have questions! You can add them to the comments section here or you can email them directly to me! I love questions and I want to support you in getting this implemented in your classroom.

I know we didn’t have enough time to really get into creating your own version and hopefully, next year they will give us more time. Usually I give this workshop as a full-day, 6-hour and we have more time to get started.

Here is a link to my updated writing/speaking rubrics (the one’s you saw on my slides). They’re still a work in progress and have to be tweaked a little before school start in late August, but you can use them as you like.

Also, here’s the link to that picture/record website also mentioned in the presentation:

Again, if you have any questions or need any clarification or hand-holding, please let me know! I’m here to help!
